What are your opening hours?

Our NEW HOURS effective from Monday 30th March.

Appointments can be booked during opening hours:

  • Mon to Fri - 8am to 5pm
  • Sat - 9am to 2pm
  • Sun - CLOSED until further notice
  • P/Hols - CLOSED until further notice

New patients are required to attend the practice for their initial consultation.

Patients will be triaged before entering the practice. To avoid the spread of infection, only the patient will be allowed in the consult room with the doctor.

Walk in Patients will always be accommodated where possible.

Do you bulk bill?

We have adopted the following practices when pricing our services to maintain our quality standards but also make access to healthcare as affordable as possible:

Aged Pension Card holders, DVA Card holders and Child Immunisations are Bulk-billed.

For all other patients there is a small charge in excess of the Medicare rebate.

Note: Initial consults will incur the private fee.

Home visits for our registered patients may be arranged under special circumstances at the discretion of the patient’s doctor.

What if I need to talk to a doctor after hours?

Kelvale patients may talk to one of our doctors by calling 0417 924 576.
Alternatively you can call GP After Hours’ (08) 9391 2285 OR Armadale Hospital on 9391 2000.

What will it cost me?

Aged Pension Card holders, DVA Card holders and Child Immunisations are Bulk-billed.

For all other patients there is a small charge in excess of the Medicare rebate.

With Medicare EasyClaim the rebate is paid back into your account within minutes. Payments can be made easily with Cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card.

Can I have my blood pressure or blood glucose level checked?
One of our nurses can perform this function for you. You will then be reviewed by our on-call doctor. Please call (08) 9495 1230 and book with reception.
Do you perform Immunisations?

Yes - all adult and childhood immunisations. We also perform all travel vaccinations including Yellow Fever.

Do I need an appointment for a Medical Certificate for work?

Kelvale guarantee same day appointments and issue medical certificates. Please call (08) 9495 1230 to make your appointment or you can easily book online.

Do you handle Worker's Comp, Motor Vehicle or other insurance claims?

Yes, we do. We are experienced in Workers Compensation and Occupational Health Management.
Please make sure you mention this at the time of booking your appointment.

Do you provide Medical exams for the Aviation Industry?
Yes - Kelvale are licensed to provide Aviation medicals including those for :

Kelvale Podiatry Clinic has a highly trained and experienced podiatrist, providing effective solutions for foot pain. Our Podiatrist accepts patients with Care Plans and they are also an accepted provider for all private health funds.

What is an IV Iron Infusion?

A special type of iron preparation (which is not a blood product), given through a needle into a vein - it takes about 15mins (plus 30 mins observation afterwards). Our staff are trained to deliver this service for you.

The benefits of iron infusion include rapid delivery of iron and replenishment of iron stores, avoidance of gastrointestinal side effects associated with oral iron, and avoidance of potential flares of inflammatory bowel disease by oral iron therapy.
